About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Satellite Operations Manager to lead the ground segment and network operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of satellite services, while managing operational teams and infrastructure.

You will play a key role in scaling operations, improving service delivery, and ensuring alignment with business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Lead satellite ground segment and network operations, including teleport infrastructure and NOC activities
  • Ensure continuous service availability through effective monitoring and operational control
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve network performance and operational efficiency
  • Manage operational teams including NOC, engineering, and service delivery
  • Oversee incident management and ensure timely resolution of service disruptions
  • Support network expansion, infrastructure upgrades, and new service deployments
  • Establish and maintain operational procedures, standards, and reporting frameworks
  • Monitor SLA performance and drive improvements in service e quality and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and technology partners for seamless operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, and cybersecurity requirements
  • Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and cost efficiency
  • Drive team performance, coaching, and capability development

 

Principal Challenges

  • Sustaining high service availability and operational resilience across complex, mission-critical satellite and ground segment environments
  • Orchestrating seamless coordination between engineering, NOC, service delivery, and external technology partners in a highly integrated ecosystem
  • Leading effective incident response while minimizing service disruption and safeguarding customer experience
  • Scaling operational capabilities, processes, and infrastructure in line with rapid network expansion and evolving service demands
  • Ensuring consistent operational alignment, governance, and performance standards across internal teams and external stakeholders

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Satellite Communications, or a related technical discipline
  • Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Satellite Communications, Network Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 10–12 years of experience in satellite communications, telecommunications operations, or network infrastructure environments
  • Proven experience in leading operations, engineering, or network teams within complex, mission-critical environments
  • Strong track record in managing ground segment operations, teleport infrastructure, and NOC functions
  • Demonstrated experience in service delivery management, SLA governance, and operational performance optimization
  • Experience working with satellite operators, technology vendors, and infrastructure partners in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, operational standards, and cybersecurity requirements related to telecom/satellite operations

 

Minimum Work Experience                                                    

  • Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in satellite communications, telecommunications operations, or network infrastructure management
  • At least 3–4 years of leadership experience managing operations, engineering, or NOC teams within complex, mission-critical environments
  • Proven experience in managing satellite ground segment operations, teleport infrastructure, and network performance
  • Hands-on experience in incident management, service delivery, and SLA-driven operations
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in multi-stakeholder environments, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and external technology partners
