Purpose of Job:
• The Drilling Fluids Project Engineer is the focal point between the Company and the Operator, the PE is responsible to provide a technical support to the well site, establish the engineering schedule, follow the day to day operations, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Proactive involvement in HSE activities including involvement in risk assessments, JSA and safety presentations / toolbox talks and safety Meeting at the well site.
2. Communicate with Operators representative on a daily basis constant basis to be fully aware of drilling conditions and to advise the parties of Drilling fluids condition and made the required recommendations.
3. Responsible for drilling fluids operations for dedicated project, design and write the drilling fluids program as per the clients request, establish the engineering schedule and crew change, follow up the well site inventory and made the proper forecast to maintain the stock of the chemicals at the acceptable level to run the operations.
4. Check on daily basis the report from the well sites, ensure the drilling fluids specifications are within the range and make the proper recommendations to the well site engineers or the client’s representative.
5. Optimize fluids performance to minimize any impact.
6. Troubleshooting when it’s required and Assist the Well site engineers during the critical situation when required (Stuck pipe, well control situation………)
7. Perform regular well site Visit /Audit to make sure that procedures and the program are followed as per the company requirement.
8. Coach the engineers / new engineers and assist in their training when required.
9. Assist The Operator’s representatives in the identification of potential drilling hazards and help determine corrective actions where applicable to the drilling mud.
10. Assist in the preparation of the bid when required.

12. Maintain project data base for all operation.
13. Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, rules and regulations.
14. Prepare project reports, forecast, variance explanations and other technical and financial reports for management, client, or others.
15. Tracking and maintaining well cost and inventory.
16. Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance.
17. Manages all project reporting requirements.
18. Validate, Review and approve project invoices and resolve accounts receivable issues with clients.
